Fine & Country Cumbria chooses Carlisle Key as Charity of the Year

New partnership will support young people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity across the local community.

We are delighted to announce that Fine & Country Cumbria has chosen Carlisle Key as its Charity of the Year. This exciting partnership will help raise awareness of youth homelessness and support our work with young people as they move towards greater stability and independence.

(Diana and Rosie) As part of the partnership, Rosie visited our Drop-in Centre to learn more about Carlisle Key and the challenges faced by young people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the systems and barriers that can make it difficult for young people to access safe accommodation, wellbeing support and the practical help they need to build an independent future.

We were particularly pleased to have open and honest conversations about housing, wellbeing and the importance of person-centred support. Every young person’s circumstances are different, and our approach is shaped around listening to their needs, recognising their strengths and helping them identify the next steps that are right for them.

We are incredibly grateful to Rosie and the Fine & Country Cumbria team for their interest, compassion and commitment to tackling homelessness. Their support will help us continue creating opportunities for young people and challenging the barriers that too often stand in the way of a safe and settled future. This includes access to a fund application of 3k and £100 donated for each house sold.

We are looking forward to working closely with Fine & Country Cumbria over the coming year and to building a partnership founded on collaboration, compassion and meaningful change. Together, we can help ensure that young people receive the support they need to move forward.

Thank you to Fine & Country Cumbria for choosing Carlisle Key as its Charity of the Year. We are excited about what we can achieve together.
